As gas prices continue to rise we see more and more folks turning to public transit as a more affordable way to get around. Is it really worth it though? In this article, I will try to give the answer.

The answer depends a lot on your personal tolerance levels and your financial situation. If your finances are tight and saving money is important to you, it would make sense to take the bus. Especially if you like in a city with great transit system like San Francisco or NY. If you place a premium on privacy, don’t enjoy walking in the streets and don’t want to have to deal with strangers then taking the car is the best way to go, even if it costs more.
